Joe Don't, ever, attack a Slytherin if you want to live! "WEASLEY!" I yelled, for it was him who hit Alex. I spun, shouting "Impedimenta!". He stopped. Crucio I thought. He screamed, not unlike Granger had done, when suddenly Potter bolted round the corner. Me and Alex took off, running towardds the Common Room. She was at the door when I stopped. "Joe, come on" she said. "No, I have to lead them off, or they'll know where our Common Room is!"
She paused, then nodded. I ran back towards Potter and Weasley. Imperio I thought, aiming at Weasley. Lead Harry away, I thought.
"Come on, they went this way" said Ron. They ran, away from me. I grinned, then headed back to our common room. Alex was there, but so was Malfoy. "How'd it go?" asked Alex. I nodded, to indicate it was fine. "You know, Draco, you really should come with us next time. Maybe show us that famous Tarantellagra curse you're talking about? I said, a lazy sneer growing across my face. Uh, em, well, I, I've got, erm, detention tomorrow" came the feeble excuse. Yeah, right I thought. I knew how to find out if he was scared of me. Legilemens! I thought, maintaning eye contact. What I saw in Malfoy's mind, shocked me.

Alex
Joe sat down slowly without talking and stared a Malfoy, although i was only one who actually seemed to notice. Malfoy had walked off, muttering under his breath. I was going to ask what was wrong, but decided to leave it until morning, unless Joe wanted to tell me...
Er....i retyped this quite a few times cause i didn't know what to write.....;D

Joe I'll die to win, as I'm born to lose Malfoy was afraid of me. It was obvious.BUT I was a little afraid of him myself. When I'd used Legilemens, I had seen that Malfoy was in love with Granger. This was not right. He was a Slytherin, a pure-blood for God's sake! He simply COULD NOT be in love with a Mudblood. I had to tell someone. After checking we were alone, I leaned towards Alex.
Uh, Alex. Can you keep this between us?" She nodded. "Malfoy loves Granger!" I hissed.
She looked stunned.

Alex
I didn't say anything, after all, what was there to say? "Alex?" Joe said, looking at me. "How can Malfoy love a Mudblood. Malfoy is Pure Blood!" I replied. "I don't know" "Do you think we should ask him?" "Oh, yeah that'll turn out great! "Hey Malfoy, i was just wondering if you fancied granger, you see when i used the legilimens spell i saw that you loved her, and i just though i should ask you to make sure that i read your mind correctly" "Alright" I said. "I get the point." I stood up. "There's no need to have a go at me about it." I walked off and sat at a table on the other side of the room.

Lewis
The Slytherin common room wa always full of excitment. I didn't hang around with Draco Malfoy, but i knew something was bothering him. The rest of his 'gang' didn't seem to be talking to each other either. Alex was on one ide of the room and Joe was on the other, Crabbe was neaaar the fire and Goyle had disappeared completly. I walked over to talk to Alex.

Yeah, i agree with Absath. Good start.
Alex
I didn't know who Lewis Clarke was but he came and sat next to me anyway. "What's up?" he asked. "The sky" I groaned. He laughed. "You're upset and you still manage to joke." I smiled to and rested by chin on my arms, which were now folded on the table. "So" he said. "What is wrong?" "Oh, you know, just, this and that" "What's 'this and that'?" I sighed. "Never mind" I stood up. "If you see Joe, tell him i'll be in the great hall, waiting for dinner." Lewis looked sonfused, but nodded anyway. "Ok, i'll let him know"

Joe
"HOI JOE!" someone shouted. I turned round. "What?" I asked.
"Alexandra wants to see you in the Great Hall."
At least, I thought as I made my way upstairs, I maybe still had a chance with Alex. IF I apologized for the way I'd acted earlier she'd maybe forgive me. As I sat down I whispered an apology. She considered, then nodded. YES!. I thought about kissing her, but chickened out. Instead I got stuck into my chicken and mashed tatties.
"You might want to lay off them a bit, Joe" said the Quidditch Captain, Montague.
"Why?" I demanded.
"You're playing Seeker for us on Saturday next week."
What the Hell? I thought Malfoy was Seeker, and voiced my confusion.
"Nah, I kicked him off. He wasn't showing up to practice and when he did he played absolute crap."
Oh man, this was awesome. I imagined myself flying out with 7, Morris on the back of the green robes.
"You got a decent broom?" someone asked.
"A Firebolt!" I said. It was true. I'd bought it this summer. I'd been saving for about a year.

I threw the quaffle through the goal and spun on my broom. Joe was already chasing the snitch. It was just practise, but all of us took it seriously. The game started again as the quaffle was thrown and i rushed off.
"So" I said. "Do you enjoy being seeker?" Joe nodded. "Yeah, it was great." The two of us entered the common room. Malfoy still wasn't talking to us. As soon as he saw Joe he stood up and, after shooting him an evil glance, walked off. "Do you think he's annoyed that i get to play seeker instead of him?" Joe asked. "Maybe" I replied, then changed the subject back to quidditch. "Your broom, goes really fast. I'll be suprised if we loose." Joe smiled, hugged me ran off and shouted back. "We won't loose!"

[ooc]I'm gonna take on an extra 2 characters, Hermione and Draco. Is that OK? JoeDon't waste your time on meI was buzzing. The ream had never flown better, and I had caught the Snitch in half a minute, a new school record. Alex played awesome, scoring 18 goals. As I lay awake, pondering my chances with her, Draco appeared. "What is it, Draco?"He looked sad. "Listen, Joe. I'm sorry for being bitter that you got Seeker. You deserve it.""Have you heard about the Secret Santa game?" I asked. "No, what is it?" he asked. I proceeded to explain. As Christmas was drawing nearer, it was now only 3 weeks away. The seventh years(us) had to buy or make presents for a person who was randomly suggested. I had drawn Potter, which sucked. Malfoy had chosen Hannah Abbot. I guess he must have forgotton. I asked him what he would get Hannah. "I'll write to my Mother" he said. "Want me to ask her to get your presents as well?"I nodded. Draco's mother had impeccable taste, so if I had to be Potter's Secret Santa, then I would be a good Secret Santa. [ooc:I got this idea from this story: www.fanfiction.net/s/1647744/1/

Yeah, you can take on two other characters.
Alex
The secret Santa sucked. I hadn't asked Joe who he'd got yet, but i hated my draw. Neville Longbottom. Of all the rotten luck! Joe jumped down the last of the stairs and came and sat next to me. "So" he whispered. "Who'd you get for the Secret Santa?" I frowned. "Longbottom. Who'd you get?" "Potter" "Really?" I said, spinning round. He nodded and i smiled. "It's not funny!" he replied, turning away. "Well at least there's someone worse off than me." I stood up. "Come on, we have to get to the quidditch game."

d**n! I just noticed I broke my own rules. No one can be Harry, Ron or Hermione. So it looks like I'm just going to be Draco. He's my fave character anyway.

Righto.
Draco
12 Days before Christmas.
I woke up annoyed. I didn't appreciate being disturbed from my slumber. Still clad in my pyjamas, I stormed out of his dormitory, intent on strangling whoever was making so much noise.
It was hard for me to remain angry when I walked into the common room. Many of the seventh years were already unwrapping the gifts that had been delivered for them. Unable to ignore the delighted squeals of some of the girls as well as the lively chatter of the rest of my peers, I smiled as he watched his friends.
I had forgotten about the Secret Santa game. I had owled my mother ages ago to ask for her help and had gotten back twelve beautifully wrapped packages for me and Joe. I hadn't the slightest clue what was in any of them, but my mother had impeccable taste, so I knew the gifts would be more than sufficient. I had placed them in the drop-off box the moment they arrived.
My gift was still sitting by the fireplace. It was rectangular in shape and wrapped in dark green paper. A note was attached to the package. I gingerly picked up the gift and went back to my dormitory where I read the note first.
Draco,
What does one get for the man who has everything? I went back and forth with myself trying to figure out what to give you. I hope you'll like my choices. At first, I was really upset at having drawn your name, but now I'm rather interested in seeing your reactions to the gifts I have chosen. The first one is nothing much, just something that caught my eye. Anyway, Happy Christmas!
Your Secret Santa
In spite of myself, I was grinning. What a curious note. I knew my Secret Santa wasn't a Slytherin and definitely couldn't be a Gryffindor. That left a Hufflepuff or a Ravenclaw. And my Secret Santa was definitely female. I could tell by the subtle flirtatiousness of the note.
Unwrapping the gift, I found myself pleasantly surprised. It was a hardback copy of A Seeker's Guide to Quidditch: Beyond the Wronski Feint. I had read in the Daily Prophet only a week ago that this book had just come out. Impressed, I thumbed through the pages briefly before getting ready for breakfast.
In the Great Hall, nearly every seventh year had brought their gift with them. I was no exception. I sat, my plate empty, consumed by my book. There were countless strategies designed specifically for Seekers and I hadn't even heard of most of them. By the time I tore myself away from the helpful strategy guide, breakfast was over and most of the students had left.
